Honoring Scott Johnson’s Service to Lakewood Forest

As we welcome our newly elected board members, we also take a moment to recognize and express our gratitude to Scott Johnson for his dedication and service to the Lakewood Forest community for 17 years. Scott has been a valuable member of the board, contributing his time, effort, and leadership to help improve our neighborhood.

To commemorate his contributions, we are sharing a farewell message in his honor. Please join us in thanking Scott for his hard work and commitment to our community.

Scott, you've been more than a colleague; you've been a mentor, a teammate, and most importantly, a dear friend. Together, we've navigated challenges, completed CERT training twice, and collaborated closely on the Civic Association. Your guidance, wisdom, and compassion have left a lasting mark on our community and on all who have had the privilege to know you.

There's a poem that encapsulates your spirit, titled Dedicated Hearts:
"Dedicated hearts like yours
Are not so easy to find.
It takes a special person to be
So generous and kind."

This verse resonates with all of us who have witnessed your selflessness firsthand. You are the kind of person who would give the shirt off your back—especially if it was for a dog. I recall the time during the constable's report when an officer mentioned being bitten by a dog. Your immediate concern was, "Is the dog okay?" That moment perfectly captures your innate kindness and empathy.

"To care so much for your fellow man
Is a quality all too rare.
Yet you give of your time and talents,
For all in need to share."

Scott, your contributions have been immeasurable, and now it's time for you to enjoy the peace and relaxation you've so rightfully earned. While we will miss your leadership, humor, and gentle spirit, we are confident that the next chapter of your life will be filled with joy and fulfillment.

"So thank you for being a volunteer,
We're privileged to work with you.
We want you to know how appreciated you are,
Not just today, but the whole year through."

From the depths of my heart—thank you, Scott. Thank you for your unwavering service, your cherished friendship, and for consistently making our community a better place. We wish you all the happiness in the world as you embark on this new journey.

Cheers to you, Scott!
